Weingut Grosz
Groszes is coming our way. Andreas Grosz from Grosz winery in Gaas is no stranger to fame. In 2017, his expressive Blaufränkisch wines won the TV competition ‘Austria’s next Top Winemaker’. Since then, much has transpired in both the winemaker’s life and at his winery. In 2019, he took over the management of the small family winery, which the newly married winemaker now runs together with his wife Denise. The vineyards, now expanded by two hectares, are worked by Andreas in a manner that is extremely close to nature and he intervenes as little as possible in the winemaking process. This gives his wines the opportunity to develop their unique character of origin. In autumn 2020, Andreas Grosz launched his first local Blaufränkisch wine ‘Maria Weinberg’ on the market, followed in 2021 by his first single vineyard wines from Ried Honigschnabel and the (still) almost unknown insider tip vineyard Janoschberg. The winemaker is one to remember – great things are coming our way!
